Gandhi
Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2nd of October to honour and commemorate
the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, who is also referred to as “Father of The Nation”.The
day is celebrated across globe as ‘International Day of Non-Violence’. Gandhiji
disseminated the message of truth and peace to the world and is conceived of as
momentous preacher of non-violence.
His
contribution in the India’s struggle for freedom is stupendous. He instilled
faith and courage in the hearts of people that freedom can be had without adopting any forms of violence and practicing truth and non-violence is the highest
virtue. Gandhiji made people believe that they must do away with all kinds of
slaveries and injustices so that a healthy society can be formed.
Once
again, there is a need to unite together to free our country from the clutches
of corruption, violence, inequality and realize the dreams of Gandhiji. Getting
rid of these menaces is imperative to foster the growth of our nation.
On
this special occasion, let's take oath to practice truth and non-violence all
our life.
It
is vitally important to adopt the teachings of Gandhiji , especially when world
appears to be on the brink of destruction due to burgeoning greed, violence and
non-endurance among the people.
Be
the change to bring a change!
