Is it Necessary to Stamp out Materialistic Desires to be Happy?

What exactly is the meaning of happiness and how to get it- this simple question has been perplexing even most intelligent beings since ages.  A person can marvel at the ways people adopt to stay happy. Some of us believe buying trendiest cloths, coolest gadgets and better things can make us happy while others opine possession of worldly things is the root cause of all our problems and we ought to stop accumulation. This is how we can connect to the god and master the hardships thrown to us by nature. In other words they think detachment from worldly affairs can surely bestow happiness upon them.

On the surface, all of us look happy or pretend to be happy but deep down there is a feeling of void and we all diligently are in search of something that can fill in this void  so that we could have peace, contentment and happiness. Those of us, who count on materialistic approach and see worldly comforts as the substitute of happiness, often have to flip out for worldly comforts, are transient in nature and nothing but the transformation of worldly sorrows. So, to run only for material comforts in order to gain happiness does not seem be legitimate solution. On the other hand, if we detach our self from the worldly obligations, the growth of our society as well as civilization will be imperiled and if this is what god had expected from us, he would not have not created the world.

So both the theories propounded to stay happy seem to be flawed and wide of the mark. It’s not possible to lead a life without using whatever that belongs to this world; likewise complete detachment from the world is a potent threat to the development of healthy society. But we need not to go berserk as we can always choose the middle way. We can enjoy all the amenities that world has to offer while being humble, honest, truthful and above all thankful to god. We also have to be vigilant enough to make sure that we don’t exploit nature and natural resources in order to enrich our lives.  We must also not have clandestine agenda for development; all our operations must be aboveboard. We need not to detach from the world but moderate our actions and revive the swept away values.

Children are the future of our nation; Make this future bright

Children’s Day (Bal Divas), celebrated in India every year in remembrance of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birthday, i.e., 14th Nov. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of India who was very fond of children and loved them so much, and this is why his birth anniversary has been declared as Children’s Day in India.
The day is celebrated with the motive to let the children live with free will and spread or increase awareness in people towards right education, right care of the children to make a brighter future of our children and our nation.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became Prime minister of India right after the independence of India in 1947. Since then his one of the goal was to encourage parents and children to grow well in order to make our nation grow. Fortunately, Today young minds has indeed made a drastic change in our society and right education along with right nurturance of children is helping us taking our nation to the next level. But on the other hand, this increasing crime also gives credit to the young generation due to lack of right guidance, awareness or may be nurturance.
Children are adorable and shine like precious pearl, a gift to the parents by almighty. On the hands hand, children are the key of development and success of our country as they are going to lead our country with advanced technologies and passionate brain to bring about a positive change. Hence, Parents should condition and guide their kids in such a way that they become a great future of our country.

Why Children’s Day is celebrated

A great Indian leader, fondly known as Chacha Nehru was born on this Day. During the time when he became prime minister of the country, he worked hard and outstandingly for the well-being of children as well as youngsters of the society. He worked contagiously for progress, education, welfare and development of the children of India, and established various educational institutions as well, such as All India Institute of medical science, Indian institute of technology and Indian Institutes of Management. To prevent children from malnutrition in India, he made a goal plan for 5 years which included free meals to the school children and free primary education.
It is well known that Chacha Nehru was very fond of children; moreover he was too fond of roses and used to believe that children are like the buds of garden, and are the actual strength of our country as they would make a developed society in the coming future.
On this Children’s Day, we would recommend all the parents to make your kids aware about the real meaning of Children’s Day and encourage them to make Chacha Nehru’s dream come true by making our nation truly a heaven with peace, positivity, prosperity, honesty which ultimately results in drastic success and growth.
